Because all Vintage Heat pieces are authentic second-hand vintage clothing, the size can sometimes differ from the one shown on the tag. Over the years, some items may have lost their size tag, while others may have naturally shrunk, stretched or changed shape with time and wear. This means vintage sizes don't always fit exactly like modern clothing.

To be as accurate as possible, every piece is checked by our team and assigned a size based on how it actually fits, rather than relying only on the original tag. For pants and bottoms, the size is generally based on the original size shown on the tag, when still visible, and is still verified during our preparation process.

When ordering, we usually recommend sizing up if you prefer a looser or more comfortable fit, as vintage cuts can vary depending on the brand, the era and the style of the piece.

Condition

At Vintage Heat, our standard Mystery Boxes are made up of Grade A vintage clothing. Grade A means the pieces are in good, wearable condition, while still showing the natural signs of age typical of authentic second-hand pieces. This can include light fading, small marks, slight fabric wear or a subtle worn-in look that reflects the history and character of vintage clothing.

Before going into a box, every item goes through our in-house preparation process. Each piece is checked for authenticity, inspected for overall condition and put through quality control by our team, to make sure it meets the standard expected for our regular selections.

From time to time, some limited or discounted selections may include Grade B vintage. These pieces are still wearable and often highly sought after, but may show more visible signs of age or wear than our usual standard. This can include more noticeable fading, more pronounced marks, heavier wear or a more distressed look.

These lower-grade pieces are offered as an opportunity to get vintage clothing at a more affordable price. In many cases they're still great pieces with plenty of life left in them; they just don't meet the quality threshold of our main selections.
